Empowering Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Successful Conclusion of Youth Training Seminar in Djibouti

On November 30th at 1:30 pm local time in Djibouti, the Overseas Seminar on Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training for Djibouti, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by our school's MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), concluded with a closing ceremony. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, Deka Mahmoud Gueller, founder of Djibouti Digital Electronic Health Company, and other participants were at present.

Djibouti's national development strategy, "Vision 2035," aligns closely with the Belt and Road Initiative, exemplifying a model of mutual benefit, win-win results, and common development between China and Djibouti. Under the Belt and Road framework, trade exchanges between the two nations are deepening, and cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, economic diversification, education and training, and employment enhancement has flourished. This collaboration has provided significant support for Djibouti's aspirations to establish a regional maritime, logistics, and trade center. The flourishing exchanges in politics, education, culture, and security between the two nations have further solidified the foundation of friendship among their people.

Representing the participants, Deka Mahmoud Gueller, founder of Djibouti Digital Electronic Health Company, expressed gratitude for the profound benefits gained from the seminar. She highlighted its positive impact on enhancing entrepreneurial literacy, fostering innovation abilities, and contributing to improvements in the work environment and personal capabilities. She extended her thanks to the Chinese government for its invaluable support to Djibouti youth in various fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dai Ying emphasized that the seminar not only shared China's advanced experiences in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship but also propelled broader and deeper exchanges and cooperation between China and Djibouti. This initiative serves as a vibrant example of building a development concept for a community with a shared future between China and Africa. She expressed hope that the training course would provide valuable insights into innovation and entrepreneurship for all participants, further fostering exchanges and cooperation between China and Djibouti in the realm of innovation and entrepreneurship development, thus promoting common development.

This 10-day training program marks our school's inaugural overseas international business officer training initiative, hosting 45 participants. The seminar represents a novel and successful exploration of international cooperation between China and Djibouti in the realm of innovation and entrepreneurship. It serves as a dynamic practice in advancing the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Djibouti.
